All the Maharajas Express tours begin in Delhi, the heart of India, or Mumbai, the bustling financial centre. Well, getting to the cities is very easy. Both towns are well connected with various domestic and international flights, and India’s extensive rail network lets you travel seamlessly from any part of the country. Additionally, the local transport is conveniently available to deport you to the stations. However, note that the cost of reaching your beginning point (Delhi or Mumbai) are not included in the Maharajas’ Express package. The Maharajas Express offers four tours across India, covering historical, cultural, and natural attractions:

Insurance Coverage:
The Maharaja Train provide umbrella cover insurance to all its passengers for any foreseen events and natural calamities like fire, earthquake and flood. For international visitors, we recommend checking your respective country’s travel insurance for sufficient travel coverage.
Pre / Post Tour Accommodation:
Pre and post-journey accommodations for a day or two are not included in Maharaja Express train fare.
Dos & Don’ts:
- Please carry and double-check all the necessary documents required for your travel. If proper documentation is not available, deportation may occur.
- Pack linen and cotton for summer.
- Please carry shawls and warm clothes for freezing nights.
- The most common form of travel is in groups. So, if you can’t adhere to schedules for embarking or disembarking or are incapable of participating in excursions/trips, etc., the management may exclude you from the tour.

Luggage
We recommend carrying soft-top baggage as it fits easily everywhere, and for luggage, please adhere to International Airlines’ guidelines.

Off-Board Tours
- Off-board excursions may involve lengthy walks or steep steps. So, for people with walking difficulty walking/climbing long distances, etc., kindly inform the authorities onboard.
- Sometimes trains go for cooling or re-fuelling. During this period, if you would like to stay back on board, inform management.
